TOYOGO believes that giving back to the community is more than just providing help. It is about making a meaningful difference, no matter how small the contribution may seem.
Who Is Helping Joy?
Helping Joy Limited is a Singapore-registered Institution of a Public Character (IPC) charity organization founded on 17 January 2012. The organization primarily supports senior citizens living in cluttered or unhealthy environments, helping to restore their homes into cleaner, safer and healthier living spaces.
The work they do is not easy. It takes time, effort, patience, and, most importantly, the support of a dedicated team and kind-hearted volunteers. When TOYOGO was approached by Wee Kiat, one of Helping Joy's team members, we were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their meaningful cause. Since then, we have been actively collaborating with Helping Joy on their community efforts.
Creating Space For Comfort
As part of their bi-weekly decluttering projects, TOYOGO has been donating our 5-Tier Drawers (604-5 and 904-5) in small batches. While clearing clutter helps to create a more comfortable living environment, we wanted to go a step further by providing storage solutions that can help residents organize and keep their belongings neatly after the decluttering process.
Being able to contribute in this way has been incredibly meaningful to us. Seeing the smiles of the residents and knowing that something as simple as a storage drawer can make their daily lives a little easier truly warms our hearts.
More Than Just Decluttering
Our collaboration with Helping Joy extends beyond home decluttering. Upon learning that they also manage community fridges, TOYOGO was glad to contribute a batch of food items and daily necessities.
These community fridges are restocked regularly and made available to residents who may need a helping hand. It was heartwarming to know that our contributions could go beyond a single household and support the wider community in a simple yet practical way.
A Meaningful Lesson Learnt
Being part of this initiative has given us an opportunity to pause, reflect and appreciate what we often take for granted. It reminded us that something we may consider small or ordinary can be of great value to someone else.
At TOYOGO, we are honoured to play a small part in Helping Joy's efforts and look forward to continuing our journey of giving back to the community. As we celebrate the joy of helping, we hope to keep supporting more meaningful causes and making a positive difference wherever we can.
